Going by the name of the great Sanskrit scholar Anundoram Borooah, ABILAC also serves as a centre for the promotion of Sanskrit studies. - Translation and publication of Sanskrit Classics in Assamese
- Conferring of Anundoram Borooah Award to a scholar who sets high standards of excellence in the fields of Sanskrit and allied Indologial studies, Literary and Linguistic Studies in Art & Culture.
- To promote and popularise the life and works of the great Indologist Anundoram Borooah.
