SCHEMES FOR RESEARCH AND M.PHIL FELLOWSHIP
Research Fellowship
Two Research Fellowships have been awarded for studies in indigenous languages of Assam, tenable at the Institute itself. 22 Fellowships for pusuing Ph.D. and writing of Monographs are going to be awarded from the current year.
M.Phil Fellowship
We have been offering Fellowships of Rs.1000/-p.m. each for M.Phil one in Assamese Dept. Dibrugarh University two in Folklore Department and MIL Department, Gauhati University. All total 30 students have successfully completed the course so far. A list of the students is encloses herewith. After discontinuation of award of these fellowships from 2000 to 2008 the scheme of awarding fellowships have been reintroduced from the year 2009. The fellowship has been enhanced to Rs.3000/- only p.m.from 2013
