
Anundoram Borooah Institute of Language, Art and Culture (ABILAC) celebrated the 76th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour today at the Institute campus.
The national flag was ceremonially unfurled by the Director of the Institute, Prof. Sudeshna Bhattacharjya, in the presence of all faculty members, officers and staff of ABILAC. It was followed by the singing of the National Anthem, creating a solemn and inspiring atmosphere across the campus.
On the occasion, Prof. Bhattacharjya reflected on the significance of Republic Day, emphasising the constitutional values of democracy, unity, and social justice. She also highlighted the role of academic and cultural institutions like ABILAC in upholding these values through education, research, and community engagement.
All members of the Institute participated in the celebration, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals enshrined in the Constitution of India. The programme concluded with a collective resolve to contribute meaningfully towards nation-building through scholarship, cultural preservation, and inclusive development.
